CIRCUMNAVIGATION OF LAKE PEND OREILLE

NATE’S SOLO SUP

PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE

The world needs more strength.

The world needs more examples of heart and soul.

I feel it's a personal duty to push myself and those around me toward accomplishment. In a time where negativity and nonsense are at an all time high, I believe it is imperative for those of us with the capacity and strength to lead, to do so. From this mindset emerged the desire to set and complete difficult challenges.

My name is Nate Christensen. Over many years of rough and rowdy adventures, my time in the Marines, and my journey as an adventure photographer and videographer, I have picked up the nickname "Madman".

I'm embarking on my next great venture, a solo paddle board circumnavigation of Lake Pend Oreille, in northern Idaho. Roughly one hundred eleven miles of exploration and struggle. I'm choosing to challenge myself with this experience simply because I am capable, because every day it is me vs me. Also, if by my actions I can inspire and encourage others to push themselves further, to seek discomfort, to choose growth, I'm all for it.

I am accepting pledges per mile and encouraging donations to the Ethan Murray Fund, a non-profit based in my hometown of Sandpoint, Idaho. Their mission, to empower and support individuals in need, is by providing financial assistance for mental health services in the local community. We've all known, or have known, of someone who struggles with mental health, from diagnosed medical cases, to depression, to suicide. In my experience mental health is health. It isn't separate and should not be treated as such. To be healthy, is to be mentally, emotionally, physically, balanced.

Please stay tuned for my official SUP launch date in April 2024 as well as information on how and where to donate. Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and belief.

Much love,

M.
